Stacey and family: I won't post the typical condolences here, telling you how sorry I am for Bobby's passing - but instead will pass along my congratulations to you for having had such an extraordinary individual so intimately involved in your lives. I'm certain you all know what you meant to Bobby and can well imagine how proudly he spoke of you all during our annual getaways. I recently spoke with an old friend of ours from college and she and I both agreed that when we had last seen him together at my 50th birthday celebration, Bobby seemed more peace with himself and happier than we he had ever seen him before. This was clearly a product of his relationships with you all,and he's finally having established the thing he desired most in his life, a stable and loving family. Personally, I can tell you that I met some exceptional and wonderful people at Albany whom I was lucky enough to establish life long relationships with. Unfortunately, like so many others, constraints of time, commitments and general responsibilities often leave little opportunity to keep in touch with many of those important people from my life in the way i would like to. In Bobby's case,I was lucky enough to have had semi-frequent contact right up to the end. As such, I was able to enjoy the intellect, compassion and ,very often , sage counseling of this extraordinary friend ,whom I first came to know so many years ago. Anyone who knew Bob knew him to be intelligent, opinionated, intense (to put it mildly!) and, above all, fiercely loyal. I count myself lucky to have called Bobby a friend and brother! On a personal note directly to you Bobby I say, rest well my friend may the "Great Spirit" look after you until we meet again buddy! Love and respect, KPO'C
