Condolence: Rocky was a great gentleman and a wonderful barber. He cut the hair of four generations of my family - and I am sure that many of his devoted customers could claim as many. Each visit to his back-of-the-shop chair was an opportunity to get the latest news on the neighborhood mixed with a little politics, sports and philosophy. And to swap stories of our families, and hear of his life in Italy and Staten island. He will be terribly missed by so many people.

Condolence: To Rocky's Family,

Rocky was a really special man. He was my barber for about the last ten years, but haircuts were only part of what I would get from him. He always talked with obvious love about his family, particularly his grandchildren. He told me about his vacations and his long walks around Staten Island and some of the more interesting and colorful people who were his customers and friends over the years. He was an unusually warm person who will be missed in Brooklyn Heights, but definitely not forgotten.

Condolence: To Rocky's family-
I have known Rocky for over twenty years. He was a customer at my wine and liquor store. I would try at least every two weeks to get a haircut and a hot shave from him. He would fill me in about his family at every visit. I have heard so many wonderful things about his wife, sibling, children and grand children. He would tell me what he and his wife cooked for everyone on his days off- Thursday and Sunday. It for sure was a labor of love. Much of what he prepared came from his garden. Some of the produce from his garden even made it to Noodle Pudding-I am certain it was his and certainly my favorite Italian Restaurant.
I was there last night and everyone could not stop talking of him.
His kindness and spirit will never be forgotten.
God bless you all

Condolence: To Rocky's family:

I have been a customer of The Cutting Den and have known Rocky since 1985. He was simply a wonderful man. Always smiling, joking, and clearly wanting the best for everyone he met. People were drawn to him because of his innate goodness and kindness. From our talks it was clear how proud he was of his family and how much he loved you all. He will be missed by many, but his glorious spirit will live on. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Mike Lane

Condolence From: Your Neighbor
Condolence: Please allow me to express my deepest condolences for your family's loss. I hope that you will find comfort in the real hope that the Bible gives of being reunited with your loved one again. In the Bible at John 5:28, 29 it reads, "Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.". The Bible there promises that your loved one will come back to life again in the resurrection. (Acts 24:15) The Bible also promises that soon death will be no more. (Revelation 21:3, 4) I encourage you to visit JW.org for more information about this wonderful hope.
